Independent sound track recording of the entire performance (up
to a maximum of one hour duration - longer sets may incur additional
charges) on to a digital multitracker or minidisk providing a suitable
audio output can be obtained from the front of house mixing desk.
Recording directly onto a computer hard drive may also be feasible.
The following services are provided as part of our basic package:

and independent sound track to provide video of entire performance.
For the most basic package editing will be confined to providing a
tidy into / outro, and synchronisation of sound track.
For DVD productions:
Splitting of individual tracks into DVD chapters and basic DVD authoring.
Burning of basic video production onto DVD-R format (other formats can be
offered) and the provision of one copy for you to review, and one or more
master copies (up to five) of the final production version.
For web streaming productions:
Rendering to a suitable web format specified by yourself (e.g. WMV, Quicktime,
Flash) of the entire production or as individual tracks.
The following additional services are provided as part of our more
comprehensive packages:
Comprehensive edit and production work on one or more tracks
chosen by you from the review video of the full performance
(depending on what is feasible from the raw camera footage, editing
would include cut-aways, different camera angles if available,
suitable transitions and other effects, to provide a polished
production, as well as suitable DVD authoring).
For DVD productions:
Splitting of individual tracks into DVD chapters and suitable DVD
authoring to your requirements. Burning of the produced individual
track(s) onto DVD-R format and the provision of one copy for you to
review.
For web streaming productions:
Rendering to a suitable web format specified by yourself (e.g. WMV, Quicktime,
Flash) of the entire production or as individual tracks.
A second editing and production phase to accommodate any
reasonable modifications that you specify.
For DVD productions:
Burning of the final production version of your chosen individual
track(s) onto DVD-R format and the provision of one or more master copies
(up to five) of the final production version.
If required, minor modifications would be undertaken to the
production of the full performance video, to allow you to use it
for promotional or merchandising purposes.
Web hosting to allow streaming of one or more of your chosen
tracks from the MetalOnRock web site.
Should you wish us to assist you in the design of the DVD sleeve / wrap
or a special DVD label (basic thermally printed label provided as
standard), then we would be more than happy to discuss your requirements
and ideas with you.
Terms and conditions for live music video production
Standard Packages
The list below provides a general guidance to the terms and conditions that
apply to our live music video production services. These are not meant to be
in any way intimidating, but are there to ensure that you get the service that
you expect from us and that we are able to provide our services to you efficiently
whilst safeguarding the interests of both parties.
In order to allow us to set up our cameras and sound recording equipment
correctly before your performance, it is very important that we are present for
the sound check. To ensure that our equipment is ready before the sound check,
please let us know in plenty of time when the band expects to arrive at the venue.
If required please provide us with instructions on how to find the venue.
Please ensure that permission to film and/or record at the venue has been
granted in plenty of time, and that we are given access to the venue (free of
charge) with our equipment on the day. If video, photo or press clearance is
required for us then please ensure that this as been arranged. Please note that
some venues make a charge a fee to allow filming or recording, and that you would
be liable for this fee. Should permission to film and/or record at the venue not
be forthcoming then please let us know in plenty of time.
If an independent sound recording is required from the venues front of house
mixing desk, then please check that this is OK with the venues sound crew. In any
case, please bear in mind that a live sound recording can only be as good the sound
quality produced by the venue's public address system. Similarly, although we use
cameras with good low light capabilities, the stage lighting levels will have an
effect on the video quality. Therefore, if possible, try to arrange that lighting
levels are not too low during the performance.
Layout, wording and graphics for intro, title sequences, credits,
copyright statements etc. must be agreed before post production work
commences. Any images (e.g. band logos, photos, artwork, etc.) required
to be included in the production must be supplied in a suitable format
(jpg, gif or bmp) prior to the commencement of post production work.
A nominal charge (to be agreed) would be made for additional copies of
any versions of the DVD (small pre-production runs could be undertaken
(up to 50 copies) - larger scale production would have to be contracted
out).
Any out of pocket expenses incurred by us in the process of carrying
out the work for you will be charged to you at cost (e.g. travel expenses).
We undertake to keep these to a minimum, and where possible we will clear
these costs with you prior to incurring them.
Legal issues:
All rights to the production remain the property of MetalOnRock
Limited until the agreed payment for our services has been made in full.
Subject to the terms agreed in advanced, rights to the production will
be transferred on final payment, however MetalOnRock Limited reserves
the right to use any part or all of the production as promotional material.
Cover versions would be cut from any production (too complicated
legally!), unless explicit permission to use the material has been given
in writing by all the copyright owners.
If the band or label are going to be the publishers / distributors of
the work, the band or label would be responsible for obtaining an MCPS
licence (as it is your own work you would get a "Notification of No Claim"
from them). The band or label is also responsible for any other licences
or venue fees.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all our equipment is kept in proper
working order, we cannot be held liable for equipment failure on the day
(the additional cameras would provide some backup). In this case we would either
reschedule the shoot to a mutually convenient alternative date, or salvage
as much material as we can and adjust our charges accordingly by mutual
agreement.
If due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to attend the
performance or are significantly delayed, we would then endeavour to
reschedule the shoot to a mutually convenient date.
If the performance is cancelled or postponed then please inform us
as soon as this is known. An additional charge for travel expenses would
have to be made if we attend the venue due to insufficient notice being
given.
Whilst we are happy to consider undertaking any additional work beyond
that already agreed, this would incur additional charges (to be agreed).
Unless otherwise agreed, these terms and conditions take precedence
over any other terms and conditions.
